Course content

In the Course the student is exposed to all aspects of cooking and baking.

The theory aspect of the course teaches the importance of safety and hygiene in and around the house especially the kitchen.

Etiquette, serving and entertaining forms an integral part of the theory lecture.

The Lecture demonstrates various techniques of the recipes/dishes that are made within the lesson. With each lesson presentation skills is imparted.

Students gain experience in working with a variety of ingredients that adds to their knowhow.

Each student cooks or bakes a dish and different recipes and technique exposes the students and heightens their confidence. At the end of each lesson even though only one recipe/dish made the variety of what is cooked or bake teaches the student to further explore at home.

A complete module in the Fundamentals of Cooking and Baking with recipes is handed out to each student.
