IT Technical Support

IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation. You could be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solves technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.

 

IT End User Computing

Information Technology (IT) professionals perform tasks ranging from installing software to designing networks and databases. Learning to manage data, networks, hardware and software requires administrative skills. The main aim of this course is to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities for being an effective and efficient business woman or man.

Building & Civil

It covers construction, masonry building and woodworking; design, drainage and sanitation in a practical, theoretical management and design environment. Typically, qualifying learners are employed in the construction sector as painters, tillers, plasterers, masons, joiners, carpenters, roofers, or are self-employed as micro-enterprise owners who provide services to construction contractors and members of the public (e.g. private households).

Community House Building

The "National Certificate in Community House Building" reflects the skills, knowledge and understanding required to participate effectively as a multi-skilled practitioner in the building construction industry and preferably in the construction of basic housing structures. The purpose of this qualification is to provide learner’s with national standards that represent the competencies required to meet the challenges of participating effectively in the building construction industry as a multi-skilled practitioner.

National Certificate: Furniture Making Wood

The purpose of this qualification is to further develop the student’s upholstery and woodworking skills, and thereby to enable him/her to enter into a career in furniture production. All projects are industry-based and students are given the opportunity to job shadow and to do in-service training. The culmination of the course is the student portfolio of work, which provides the student access into the furniture industry.

 

Early Childhood Development (ECD) Programme

This is an entry-level Qualification for those who want to enter the field of Education, Training and Development specifically within the sub-field of Early Childhood Development (ECD). This qualification is aimed at people who are already practising within the field without formal recognition as well as for those who wish to enter the field. The qualification enables recipients to plan and prepare for early childhood development; facilitate and monitor the development of babies, toddlers and young children; and provide care and support to babies, toddlers and young children.
